An honor to be a part of. To inspire and be inspired.

I haven't really been an Evoke artist for long but boy did I enjoy the hell out of meeting new people here. Plus, seeing all the sick pieces other Evoke artists make made me want to push myself even further.

A pleasure both inside and out.

From going "wow" at Brandon Wagner's abstracts from Evoke II to being a part of the team later on. Been a pleasure all the way though.

Unforgettable Experience

I'll never forget the art and memories that I was able to create, take part of and experience with everyone through Evoke. I made me better as a person and as an artist to be involved with such an incredible community.

An early part of my development.

Thanks Ted, for starting something so awesome. In my early years, Evoke helped me learn my way around the digital art realm. I eventually became a Graphic Designer, and now Designer / Web Developer. I still have a passion for abstract art, but life, love, and obligations took over for the meanwhile. I'll get back to it eventually, and the Forever Exhibit will benefit from it. Oldschool Evk Artists represent!!!

I remember that I present 3 applications when I was younger. The third was where I came in, by majority vote. My first exhibition was avantgarde. I knew nothing of English and the only person who spoke was Sidoo (daniel). It was incredible that later this has influenced both my attributes as an artist. Love evoke, and thanks for everything

I'm leaving a second one

It's been an honor to have spent the last several years involved with this group in some capacity or another. Thank you all for your contributions and dedication. I remember hanging out in 2011 in Baltimore at TAG Galleries -- good times, and good memories. Good friends, all of you.

It has been great

Decided to drop by EvokeOne today for a spur moment and see the closing message on EVK. It is sad to see the community goes but I believe this is inevitable given that many of us started as young artists. Wow, time flies, really. All those memories, vibrancy and enthusiasm that brought all artists from all corners of the world together under 1 flag. Lastly, EvokeOne, it has been great.

Missed opportunity

I must admit, I was completely blown away when I visited this site after a very, very long absence only to see my name front and centre. I cant begin to express the gratitude I feel toward Justin and the rest of the Evoke team for including me, especially after the break we once had. I greatly regret my break with the original team, and wish my younger self was a wiser man. My love goes out to all of you. Your work is amazing, and EvokeOne will always stand in my mind as one of my greatest missed opportunities. So here's to all of you and your future endeavors - never let go of your creativity, as it's what makes us all so special.

Great Experience

It was an honor to be part of this group in its prime. I think everyone here could say that this group always pushed us to be the best designers that we could possibly be, and it's without any question that it's shaped each and every one of us into becoming the people we are today. Thanks for the memories everyone!

Thanks Evoke

It was great being part of Evoke at it's prime time. I still remember those days when there was some sort of 'contest' between art groups and artists- who will first come up with something new and fresh. That period helped us all to grow as artists and push our skills to the next level. I am really lucky and thankful for being here at that time. Thanks everyone who took part in this game, it wouldn't be possible without all of you!

Started by a bunch of edgy 15 year olds but it didn't stop there

I was a basement dwelling 16 year old perusing the Digital art section of deviantArt when I first became involved with the founding members of EvokeOne. Turns out they were like-minded basement dwellers who also found this new, cool type of digital art that revolved around 3D and abstract. From then on, I made sure to contribute at least 1-2 pieces to each exhibit that was released. Each time, I received feedback from other artists, made friends collaborating on work, and enjoyed the comradery of online banter about art theory and evil rippers. My interest in digital art got me in to Adobe Flash, which I used for my creations. I used this knowledge to start building websites too, and after a couple of years I became gainfully employed as a Flash developer. From there I spent some years working at advertising agencies, and after awhile decided to go client-side with a dream job at a Snowboarding company. I credit a significant amount of this to EvokeOne, and having a community based around creativity to help cultivate my interest in art and coding. From the basement to the dream job, EvokeOne was around, producing exhibits the whole time. As someone who joined up towards the tail end—I couldn't be more grateful for the relationships I've built from this group. As an an artist and a person, it helped pave the way for my professional career. I'll never forget the exhibition at the TAG galleries—great memories. Cheers and much love.

I feel privileged to have been an Evoke member and most importantly to have worked alongside some seriously talented and creative people! It was fantastic to be able to get advice from artists I admired, and their standards pushed me to improve and I'm so grateful for that. It was a wonderful experience, and big part of my life, to share a common passion with a bunch of friendly and motivated forward thinkers. We were a part of something for a while that was special, I loved visiting the place to see what new ideas were being explored, often stuff I hadn't seen anywhere else before. Cheers Evoke, here's to you!

I remember this golden era, was awesome, I had many many wallpapers from artists who collaborate with EvokeOne and this artgroup was the sickest of all time. Thanks for all artists who put their time and passion to this. You are superheroes.

So much more than we imagined at the start

To echo James' post, this group turned out to be so much more than any of us original members would've ever imagined. When I joined Evoke, I was just a teenager making graphics who saw an opportunity to try out my PHP skills. As time went on I was given the honor of working on the Evoke website and helping release exhibitions for the next several years. While many groups like Evoke tended to burn out and disappear, somehow, we kept on trucking! Such an astounding, remarkable set of exhibitions. Though I stepped down as site director in 2012, you all kept on trucking. Into the Void was one of the best exhibitions I'd ever seen come from the group. It's bittersweet seeing that the v6 site and wordpress format never took off, but nobody can say we didn't try. Times change, and I'm so glad we were able to get everything archived on here (Thank you James!) Thanks to all of you who made this possible and contributed over the years. James, Matt, Justin, etc etc you all rock. :) (BTW, for anyone who reads this...James and I are working on converting the old exhibitions so they'll be visible here! :))

I want to share this story because it is has been and still one of the most amazing experiences in my life. If you are reading this, you already know who you are and figured out who I am. You were my first love and our story is ever more irreplaceable. I first met you on the Evokeone forums. We met over a stupid post and I still remember it as if it was yesterday. We were both young, fearless, and confused. I had no idea that I was about to meet someone whom would play a huge role in my life. As we got to know each other more, I felt you closer to me despite being continents apart. You believed in me and helped me become the person I am today. I believed in you and had faith that you would be become the amazing person you are today. Throughout the years, we grew up together at the same pace despite our struggles in our personal lives. I guess that is what true love feels like. At the time when you flew over to finally first meet me, my heart raced and the blood rushed through my body like fire. I remember that day as one of the most happiest days in my life. Throughout the years, you have been my rock and I have been your muse. We have had our rough times but I wouldn't replace our experiences for anything else in the world. Despite the times, I know that our love is unwavering and true in the most purest forms. As our love is kind and selfless, we always wish each other to be happy no matter what the conditions. Our love took on many forms and still is and never will be categorized. We have been intense lovers and still are the best of friends. You are everything to me and I am everything to you. I have and always will love you. This is a memory I will always have from Evokeone. <3

Came for the music, stayed for the art

Mens Mentis Nouvs by Vitaliy is what brought me here. Can't even remember how. Once I was here though, I saw some of the most creative and stunning art I've ever seen, plus wonderful photography and other music. Music brought be here, but art made me stay. Sorry to see Evoke go, but I'm sure this will serve as an inspiration to others.

So long, Evoke

Evk, Slashthree, Depthcore, Intrinsic Nature, Are always top artgroup to look for. IN was gone for long time and honestly i feel sad to see that EVK are shuting down too. Because you guys made really awesome movement at the beginning of digital art era. i remember seeing competition between artgroup was so much fun that u guys push each other works into the next level every experiment/ artpack or whatever you name it release. Now, those days are gone and what left are the good memories of art that put a trigger on me for being a better artist.
